To find a list of Compatible Units which use a specified Material Item, a special search is available, called Containing Units. This can be accessed from the Materials tab in Unit Catalog in either Design Assistant or Unit Assistant.

When this option is used, the Find dialog is opened, pre-populated with the search type and Material Item ID. The Compatible Unit library is queried, displaying the compatible units which use this material item.

The Containing Units search is also available from the standard Search function, by choosing the "Containing Units" item type.

In this case, the Material Item's ID must be entered in the 'Search For' text box. The checkbox for "Search the Name/ID fields only" will be checked and disabled (greyed out).

When the search is complete, the Find Dialog will list the "containing" Compatible Units.

Double-clicking on a Compatible Unit will locate and highlight the Compatible Unit in the Unit Catalog.
